Well, "launch" subsumes design. Says who? You can't re-launch something without redesigning it. Of course you can. Okay, you can but you wouldn't.
Joe MacMillan & Gordon Clark – Halt And Catch Fire
It’s time to announce my re-design / re-launch of KiloTangoHotel. For many months now I’ve had a vision of what I wanted from this website. I’ve achieved what I have now before but in a much more rudimentary way. Now, it’s better, and it’s almost exactly what I wanted, but for a few stubben logos here and there. I am happy with its functionality.
The concept remains the same, KiloTangoHotel is a site which aggregates feeds from my other websites. Giving you the user, one place to visit rather than multiples, if you so wish. It’s not a new concept, nor is it some groundbreaking use of WordPress. But it’s been a challenge for me and one I have enjoyed getting to grips with. I have to thank Chris Hack for his plugin recommendations and logical assistance.
What I’ve realised throughout this re-launch is that there is a lot of content I’ve published to the web over the years. They won’t all be winners I am sure, but I am enjoying having an online ‘archive’ of this content. With the launch of KiloTangoHotel, this also marks today as the day when I finish migrating my domain properties from SiteGround to my new host. I’ve now severed ties with SiteGround due to their ridiculous renewal charges. I have everything over at my new host. Finally I can update the to-do list and remove everything related to website design & development.
I can actually get back to using my websites again. You know that thing, content creation…
